The evolving landscape of backlink building
It is widely known that generating links to your site is an important activity to increase your site’s ranking in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). As more and more people got wise to this, a number of automated tools and services were created to generate backlinks – and of course, many of these still exist today. Do they work?

What is a Link Pyramid?
A Link Pyramid disguises the automation of backlinks by creating a tiered structure that pushes link juice through to your website, blog or money page without solely creating direct links. In other words, it creates a series of links pointing to your backlinks, as the diagram below shows:

Tier 1 links point directly to your site while Tier 2 links point to the Tier 1 links and Tier 3 links point to the Tier 2 links.
